Phase III Launch

Now leveraging the Edge-DTN-STOR Data Transfer Node.

The NSF CC* CRISPIE project has moved from foundational training and infrastructure deployment into active community utilization, where research and education communities can begin using the regional DTN.

Phase III: research activation

What changed

CRISPIE is entering the phase where the deployed infrastructure becomes a usable regional research platform. Edge-DTN-STOR combines shared storage, secure federated access, Nextcloud collaboration, and DTN data movement for active projects.

What Edge-DTN-STOR provides

  • 96 TB of shared, high-performance storage.
  • Optimized data movement within a Science DMZ.
  • Secure, federated institutional access.
  • Integration pathways with national resources.
  • Web-based collaboration and multi-platform mounting options.

Call to action

Research community

  • Identify active or upcoming projects involving significant data movement.
  • Integrate Edge-DTN-STOR into research or education workflows.
  • Request an allocation and begin testing the workflow.
  • Engage campus research computing leads or IT support.

Recommended first steps
